The fine print

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Terp517 (terp517.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. Questions go to us through the contact page.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you send. When you sign up for our newsletter, the form provider collects the details you enter, typically your name and email address.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and the services below may record your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page and the time of your visit.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them, and allow certain third parties to use them, for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do, but the articles will still load.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers use the site, such as which articles are read and how people arrive. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics.

Advertising

Ads on Terp517 are served through Revive Adserver. The ad server may set cookies or use similar technologies to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad and count impressions and clicks. We don't sell the contents of your contact messages to advertisers.

Newsletter form provider

Our newsletter signup is an embedded form hosted by a third-party CRM provider (link.sphere-crm.com). Information you enter there is handled by that provider to send you our emails. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

We link to outside websites, including news headlines from other cannabis publications. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. Read their policies before sharing information with them.

How we use information

We use information to answer your messages, send newsletters you asked for, understand what readers find useful, keep the site secure and show advertising that pays for our work. We keep contact messages only as long as we need them for those purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to certain uses. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. People in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. To make a request, use our contact page. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Age

Terp517 is written for adults 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
