For advertisers
Advertise with Terp517
Terp517 is read by adults who look closely at cannabis: Michigan consumers who check the lab results, budtenders and retail staff, cultivators, processors, testing-lab professionals, policy readers and medical patients looking for general education. Our coverage leans toward Lansing and the 517, with readers across the state.
We don't publish audience numbers we can't back up. If you're considering a campaign, ask us for current traffic figures and we'll share what our analytics show at that time.
Ad formats
- Leaderboard (728×90): under the navigation and between article sections.
- Square (300×250): inside articles, on the homepage and in sidebars.
- Skyscraper (160×600): sticky in the sidebar on desktop screens.
- Sponsored articles: clearly labeled as sponsored, written to the same accuracy standards as everything else, and never dressed up as independent reporting.
Editorial independence
Advertisers don't review, edit or approve our journalism. Buying an ad doesn't buy coverage, and it doesn't soften a story about your product or lab result. We won't run ads that make cure claims, target minors, encourage impaired driving or promote unlicensed sales, and we follow Michigan's cannabis advertising rules.

What we'll ask you
Before a campaign runs, we'll ask who the advertiser is, which Michigan license applies if you sell cannabis, the dates you want, and the creative files. Cannabis businesses should expect us to check that their ads follow state rules on age, claims and placement.
Tell us what you'd like to run and when. Use the contact form and choose Advertising as the subject.
