THC, CBD and the rest of the cannabinoids on your label
Cannabinoids are the compounds cannabis is best known for. THC is the main intoxicating one. CBD doesn't produce a high in the same way. Then there's a longer list, including CBG, CBN and THCV, that shows up on lab reports in small amounts and on marketing in much larger type.
We explain what each compound is, how the label numbers are calculated, and what research has and hasn't shown about effects. When a product promises sleep, focus or relief from a minor cannabinoid, we check whether that claim comes from human studies, early lab work or a sales deck.
We also follow the legal side, including federal rescheduling and hemp-derived THC products, because the rules around cannabinoids are moving fast and they shape what Michigan stores can sell.
Coming up: where beginners should start with cannabinoids, and why a higher THC number isn't the same thing as a better product.
